Founded in 2003, Intego is headquartered in Rochester, New York with
an additional office in Boston, Massachusetts. To
date, we have contracted with over 65 independent payroll providers and can
write business in all 50 states.

Ultimately,
Intego’s success lies in the experience of its team. We’re not
a technology company learning the insurance business. Nor are
we a payroll provider testing out a new technology. We’re an
insurance agency first and foremost—one that offers the best
products on the market from the nation’s most respected carriers
on the most sophisticated platform available. And it is the
collective experience of our team that allows us to bring all of
this to bear simultaneously.
Robert F. McBurney, MSA, CWCP, FLMI

Bob joined Intego in September, 2007 as CEO and has
spent 30 years in the insurance industry with executive leadership positions in
sales, operations and consulting. Prior to joining Intego, he was the president
of Paychex Agency, Inc, a pioneer of the workers’ compensation pay-as-you-go
payroll model, and managed over 70,000 commercial insurance clients throughout
the United States. Before joining Paychex, Bob lead a national consulting
practice that provided corporate and governmental clients with consulting
services on matters involving insurance including employee benefits, life,
health and disability insurance, risk management and all elements of property
casualty insurance. In addition, Bob furnished litigation consultation and
expert witness services to trial attorneys. Bob is a graduate of Pittsburgh
Institute of Technology with a degree in computer science.
W. Adam Black
Managing Member
Adam has served as Managing Member of Intego since
its acquisition in September of 2006. With over 17 years of property and
casualty insurance experience, he has spent the last seven bringing software and
insurance distribution companies to market leadership positions. In 2000, Adam
co-founded AgencyPort Insurance Services, Inc., a leading provider of web-based
solutions for property and casualty insurers; and in 2003, AP Insurance, LLC, a
managing general agency focused on improving traditional distribution within the
global insurance marketplace. Prior to that, Adam has owned and operated retail
insurance agencies, and has held commercial underwriting positions with the
Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Adam is a graduate of Denison University
holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
Gail B. Dowd, CPCU,
AIM
Director, Sales and
Underwriting
Gail joined Intego in November 2007 bringing 30
years of experience in the insurance industry. She has held leadership
positions in property casualty underwriting, sales and insurance practice
oversight with national and regional carriers. Prior to Intego, Gail was the
manager of Insurance Compliance and Insurance Risk Management for Paychex, Inc.,
and had oversight responsibilities for the general insurance practice of the
Paychex Agency for Property Casualty and Life, Accident and Health business.
Gail is a CPCU and a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors of
Science in Business Administration in Finance and Insurance from the Sam M.
Walton College of Business.
Mark
A. Benotti, ARM
National Manager, Business Development
Mark joined the Intego team in December 2007 bringing with him 18
years experience in the insurance industry including leadership roles in risk
management, account management, and business development. Most recently Mark
held the position of Vice President and Client Executive for Marsh, the largest
insurance broker and strategic risk advisor in the world. In his role at Marsh
his responsibilities included acting as lead communicator with clients, managing
the delivery of service through teams and leading the development of custom
solutions to address client and prospect needs. Prior to Marsh, Mark lead the
risk management department for a global Fortune 500 company. Mark received his
undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and Master of Business
Administration degree from Babson College.
